Humana Update:
No Worry: Humana Makes Health Care Costs Predictable for Small Businesses

New Packages Cap Annual Increases at 6 percent or Lower
Starting July 1, small business members of the Business Health Care Group will have access to a series of new health insurance packages designed to alleviate the financial stresses of increasing health insurance costs.

Humana Inc., the BHCG’s insurance partner, is introducing the “No Worry” program for companies with 51 to 99 employees who are using Humana Preferred. No Worry offers predictable health care expenses over a three-year period through plans that gradually change passive health care users into informed and active health care consumers.

With No Worry, Humana guarantees that the growth in the annual premium rate for medical insurance will not exceed 6 percent—well below industry cost trends—for the two subsequent years, with opportunities to slow the growth even more.

Responding to Your Feedback
No Worry was developed in response to feedback from small businesses and independent insurance agents and brokers. In addition to the budgeting stability of the rate increase cap, No Worry’s three-year contracts eliminate the need for time-consuming annual benefit selection.

“We asked small business owners what their key worries were with respect to health benefits for their employees, and the same concepts resurfaced again and again,” said Jerry Ganoni, president of Humana Small Business, HumanaDental and HumanaOne. “They want predictability, a long-term solution to rising costs and a hassle-free process. At its heart, that’s what Humana’s No Worry packages offer.”
